Speed Demos Archive - Awesome Games Done Quick Marathon (Jan 6-11, 2011)

For gamers of Final Fantasy and more, Speed Demos Archive will be hosting it's 2nd annual Charity Marathon.  Unlike last year which contained all old school games (including the amazing Final Fantasy VI finale!), this year we're opening to games of all eras and dubbing it "Awesome Games Done Quick".  100 games starting January 6th though January 11th, performed live the only way SDA knows how...AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!

But we're not just playing for fun.  Donations will be taken throughout the marathon to raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

Be sure to stay tuned for this marathon.  Your donations will influence various aspects of the marathon, as well as make you eligible for a number of prizes we're giving away, including games, artwork, movies, and more!

Just an update from the marathon for those curious.  We hit our initial goal of $25,000 (with 2 days to go yet!) and are continually bumping up the goal.  Right now it's bumped to $30k, but I personally think we can hit $50k, especially with bidding wars for names of characters yet to be ended for Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger.  And Kingdom Hearts II is yet to be played as well (and that Chrono Cross game too :P ).
