Susan Calloway

Susan Calloway’s unique voice has already captured the live audience’s and especially Sir Nobuo Uematsu’s attention. If you do not know, she is the amazing voice behind Final Fantasy XIV’s main theme, “Answers”. A track with harmonized chorus and a vocalist performance with a gentle gothic rock touch. She has already made appearances in the past year in the Distant Worlds tour and now is featured on the new DVD.  This clip is from the DWII box set of her singing live.

Ms. Calloway also sings, on the Distant Worlds II CD, the theme from Final Fantasy X  “Suteki Da Ne” in a beautiful English interpretation of the original Japanese song previously performed by Rikki.  Finally, she performs the medley “Distant Worlds~Memoro De la Stona”, the main theme to Final Fantasy XI,  Square Enix’s first MMO.

Susan Calloway is an American Singer/Songwriter from Detroit, MI, singing Pop/Rock style music. She was first known for the early tracks she recorded in solo mode on the hit WB/CW shows “Dawson’s Creek”, “Summerland” and “One Tree Hill”.  After high school, she formed a rock band called Red C who performed during many shows and made handful scores winning about 12 Detroit awards before they break up in the early 90′s.  With her new single “Chasin The Sun” from her first EP she recorded this year, she’s listed on Top 40 and heard on hot AC Stations across the Country.

As a message to her fans she talks about her passion for music and the message it carries within it.

“I want my music to contribute to the world in a spiritual, personal way… to help people look at their lives with hope and possibility, no matter what. I want my music to comfort and inspire people … to encourage them to run hard at their dreams and goals. It’s too easy to be mediocre . . . Fusing my life and music to create great lasting art . . that’s what it’s all about for me.”
