” This is my one and only time that I will explain about my AIDS. I have just come from the hospital and I am in the final stages of the disease. I do this so that any of you that might not understand about HIV that you learn what happens. I am not going to die tomorrow and our show will keep going after so many years. AIDS is controversial so I will understand if you dont come back to watch me, it is okay we had a good time. Peace to you all and live a good life. I have lived a great 50 years on earth and I am happy. I wish to you all that you might just at least have a fraction of all the great things I have seen from Africa to Istanbul.”

These were Tebian’s words when he knew the time was near and decided to go open with his disease, 4 months before he passed away.

 

Some of the last things he asked me to do was to pick my gilgamesh drawing, restore it, and use it as a design to a coffee mug or T-shirts that our listeners and fans could buy.
