Just last week, Square Enix announced that the long-awaited iOS port of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions was submitted to Apple, which no doubt meant that the game would be out soon. Today on Facebook, they confirmed that release is in fact this week. Dated for August 4th (that’s Thursday!), this version will be for iPhone (4 and 3GS) and iPod Touch, with an iPad version on its way in about a month.
