Been a while since I’ve posted here.  For a few reasons.   One reason is I have been working alot, and another reason is I have had NO idea what to write about, so today I am gonna write a Crisis Core Review and update on other things.  Anyways Let’s get started.

So Crisis Core, where to start…

Story 8/10
Story is really good.  Especially since you already know what’s going to happen to Zack at the end.  It still makes you want to cry when the certain thing happens.  (I know I did) it does a very good job in telling Sephiroth and Cloud’s backstory.  I was hooked the entire time.  Even goes into ZackxAerith’s relationship.

Gameplay 8.5/10
Battle System is absolutely amazing.   It is an action RPG, kind of like Kingdom Hearts just a little bit slower.  Real Time menu, no jumping however or equipped items.   However every system has it’s flaws.  This system is pretty…random.   Such as Leveling up, Leveling up Materia, Limit Breaks, and summoning.  However Leveling up is not entirely random, after a bit of research there is experience it’s just a hidden counter.  Limit Breaks show up completely randomly same with materia level ups and summons.

One thing that hurt the gameplay score is the length of the game and the lack of directions.  There were a few times where I had no idea where to go next.  Left it to trial and error.  Also the game could easily be beaten in 8 hours if you don’t get distracted by missions.

Sound/Music 10/10
ok…this game.  The Music is absolutely fantastic and amazing.  Remixed FF7 tracks are gold.  especially Still More Fighting, sure it might be nostalgia kicking in but I love them nonetheless.  The voice acting is really good as well.  Sure there are a few unknown voice actors but they did an amazing job

Controls 9.0/10
Control’s are pretty much perfect.  Just kinda wish Zack’s dodge roll wasn’t so…stiff.  Also I never found any need for the guard button.  using L and R for the command selection is great.   O to return to attack is nice.  nicely done Square.

Overall 9.5/10
So yeah I loved the game, great prequel to a great RPG.  I highly suggest you pick it up if you have a PSP.  It’s easily in my top 5 PSP games.  Just needs more Length.

On to other things, I am deciding on finding another game to play on my stream (since I just finished Crisis Core).  Not sure what one yet.  I’m considering a few, those being Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. Final Fantasy XII: IZJS (in english), or Suikoden.  Also no stream from March 2nd to March 11th, as I am going to be away on vacation that week.

My thought of Final Fantasy XIII-2:  When can I preorder it!!!!  I want the game, if its anything like FF X-2 it is going to be amazing.  I honestly cannot wait.  Other square announcements don’t excite me really…sure they could be good but they don’t seem mindblowing to be honest.
