The newest DS Final Fantasy adventure to grace NA arrived October 5th.  Mitsuto Suzuki orchestrated soundtrack contains not only modern compositions but also amazingly tracks that us back to the 8bit generation.  Going with the retro feel of the game play a few of the tracks could have been done on the Famicom, but these just add to the experience of old school fun. No need for 3d glasses on this one to enjoy a great story to the sound of some good music. (sample the OST here)

Suzuki worked on Masashi Hamauzu’s score for Final Fantasy XIII and did the arrangement for Dissidia on the PSP. He also produced his own full-length album, “In My Own Backyard,” which was released in October 2007. Not as well know as the other members of Square’s musical team his electronic and rock remixes on several of Square none soundtrack CD’s have become favorites.
