Following the announcement of the retailer-exclusive pre-order freebie for Final Fantasy XIII-2, another downloadable in-game item has been revealed by Japanese online retailer Neowing. Gamers who buy a the CD single of the game’s official theme song will get a download code for the “Gift of the Songstress”. This downloadable freebie is actually two in-game accessories — a Diva Mic and a Diva Headset. Unlike Serah’s extra weapon, though, the effects of these items are still unknown. The single will be available in Japan on November 23.

The downloadable code will be included with the limited edition release of the PS3 version’s theme song, but it will be useable on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. Final Fantasy XIII-2′s Xbox 360 version has a different theme song, but Square Enix hasn’t announced yet if it will have its own downloadable freebie as well.
